Dry cinnamon, subtle nutmeg, and cocoa waft up on the nose, followed by ripe strawberry seed. The wine has a rounded, plush, dark fruit flavor, textured by soft tannins and a long rich lingering finish. Pair with a rack of lamb or a roast to complement its rich finish and tannins.
The “2021” release of Cabernet Franc is a non-vintage comprised of the 2018, 2019, and 2021 vintages and is a blend of 75% Cabernet Franc and 25% Cabernet Sauvignon. It was small-batch fermented, then aged in 33% new French oak barrels.
This special format Double-Magnum was bottled in a limited quantity. Only 17 bottles were produced.

Tasting Notes
The 2012 shows wonderfully sweet-natured scents to contrast the tightly-coiled fruit and terroir notes so apparent on the palate. The nose offers focused aromas of sweet purple plum jelly, dried Bing cherry, licorice root, sweet vanilla, baking spices and developing hints of dark earth and black truffle. It is both plush and gripping in the mouth, which gives a racy texture to the deep plum and dried cherry fruit, while bringing focus to the hard mineral and dark spice flavors that support it. The finish is also sleek, but it’s ultra-long, despite the wine’s youth and structure. It will be truly grand by 2019 and is likely to live twenty years or more. 2850 cases produced.
